The study, sponsored by Emory University, aims to develop and evaluate a Faith-based Home Activity Toolbox (Faith-HAT) for African American adults with moderate to severe dementia and their caregivers. Given the increasing prevalence of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) among African Americans, this intervention addresses a significant unmet need in supportive care. The market potential is substantial, particularly as the population of individuals living with dementia is projected to grow. The findings could lead to scalable interventions that enhance caregiver support and patient engagement, positioning Emory University and its collaborators as leaders in culturally tailored dementia care solutions.
